The challenge was to create a magazine within 48h. The issue was called „Aspiration“. My desire for a „new Utopia“ lead me to this implementation. To fulfill my personal utopia I worked oldschool analog using 4×5 Fuji Instant Film, washed out with sodium hyperchlorite. Afterwards the negative has been scanned. The look is the result of the chemical process with no further retouching.

Plato discovered Atlantis, Campanella conceived the sun city; after the great wars intellectuals dreamt of socialism while Bagwhan longed for spiritual sex. When we imagine the distant future today, we either see Gotham City or cyberpunk. But what´s happened to the classical idea of Utopia, the fantasy of an ideal Place?
Where are the bold visions of a better new world? How about we start small and imagine the energy in plants could be used to power useful machines - with which we can see, hear and taste better.
